Gavin Hunt, hunting for PSL title

Absa premiership action resumes this weekend and veteran coach Gavin Hunt Is looking to see his side reignite the form that sees has guided to second place on the psl standings.Bidvest Wits who have 26 points, are second by virtue of having an inferior goal difference to Mamelodi Sundowns.


The Clever boys lock horns with Chippa United in a tricky contest slated for the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium this Sunday.

Wits lost their last league encounter to Kaizer Chiefs just before the festive season break but Gavin Hunt will be eager for his side to bounce back and enhance their bid for the 2015/2016 psl crown.

With Wits having had an impressive run in the current campaign Hunt is positive his team has what it takes to go all the way, ‘Obviously I consider ourselves as title contenders – I mean we’re sitting pretty at the top with 26 points and we got ourselves into that position. When we start playing in January, February in the Caf and Nedbank, our squad will get better,’ Hunt told the club website.

Having won three previous premiership title’s with Supersport United from 2008-2010 Clever Boys head coach Gavin Hunt believes his experience will come in handy,’ I’ve been in this situation many times and I know what it takes’, he said. ‘It’s certainly going to take hard work’.
