Khama Billiat suffered a broken leg against Maritzburg United in January. This has kept him out for three months.
He started against Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday, but suffered a knock on the same leg. He had to be substituted and replaced by Dumsani Zuma who scored the winner.
“I am not sure. He’s got a kick on the same leg that he broke, so it’s not good.” Hunt told the media after the 1-0 loss to Chippa United.
“With us playing every two or three games, if you miss two or three weeks, he is going to miss a lot of games again,” he added
“So, I am not sure what the diagnosis is there, but he certainly was not walking well. Well, he couldn’t walk really.”
Gavin Hunt also admitted that he simply does not know the reasons behind Chiefs’ inconsistency. He can’t understand how the can defeat Sundowns away but lose to Chippa at home.
“It’s a very simple answer which I can’t say. But it’s a very simple answer.
“I’ve been in football for too long. If you understand, you’ll know what I am saying but it’s a very simple answer,” he says.
“But, ja, they fought and battled. But we had the ball so much around the box.
“We’ve got the make the pass. The final ball has to be better, and it wasn’t.
“But when you have to talk about inconsistency, there’s only one answer – which is very simple.” Said a gutted Gavin Hunt.
