Golden Boy Chad Le Clos Raising SA Flag High At FINA World Cup
South Africa swimming sensation Chad le Clos continued to showcase his talent and fine form as he claimed a second gold medal in two days at the Fina Swimming World Cup Series at the Hamad Aquatic Centre in Doha, Qatar.
The South African world class swimmer is raising the national flag high with superb and hard to ignore pool performances.
Le Clos, a Olympic, World and Commonwealth Games champion produced a winning effort of 1:57.66 in the men’s 200m butterfly to earn his 145th World Cup gold medal at the FINA Swimming World Cup.
The victory followed another 100m butterfly event win from day one in a time of 51.70 seconds for his 144th World Cup gold medal.
Le Clos, beaming with pride and exuberance, took to Twitter to share his sweet news of his achievements.
South Africans also took time to congratulate the champion for doing the nation proud at the World Cup swimming championships.
One of the suggestions from one fan was that Le Clos do an open top bus victory parade tour as a way to inspire young kids to be the best they can be just as the Springboks have united the nation and brought hope to a country with the likes of captain Kolisi sharing their stories of overcoming adversity.
