Group F 2022 FIFA World Cup Review: Ghana Crash Out! The Black Stars have headed home from the tournament.

Ghana lost 2-0 to Uruguay in the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Friday evening. This means that their tournament has come to an end in the group stages.

Despite this victory, Uruguay have also been eliminated alongside Ghana. This is one of the fiercest rivalries in international football.

Ghana did not get revenge on their foes Uruguay. The Black Stars were awarded a controversial penalty in the first half, which star player Andre Ayew did not take as his tame effort was saved.

The South Americans made the most of this as they scored two quickfire first half goals through attacker Giorgian de Arrascaeta, both assisted by Luis Suarez.

The Ghanaians could find muster up a response, which left them vulnerable. They only needed one point to qualify into the next round.

However, both Uruguay and Ghana have been eliminated. South Korea scored a late winner against Portugal to turn the fortunes of the group on its head.

It’s the Asians who have qualified for the last 16, alongside Portugal who have topped their group.

The rivalry between both Ghana and Uruguay is still very much there, with the Ghanaians still looking for salvation for what happened in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
