Happy Jele Signs Contract Extension with Orlando Pirates! The club captain has extended his stay by one year with the option to add another year.
Happy Jele will remain at Orlando Pirates for at least one more year. Jele’s contract had come to an end and has finally extended it.
Jele has signed as one year contract until the end of this season. He has also been given the option to add one more year to his contract, to 2022/2023.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club is delighted to announce that captain Happy Jele has signed a new contract that will see him lead the team into the 2021/22 season.” The club confirmed in a statement.
“Jele who joined the Club in 2006, has been rewarded with a new contract that will keep him at the Club until June 2022, with the Club having an option to extend to 2023.
“The 2021/22 season will see Magents have the opportunity of reaching 400 appearances for the Club – a milestone that no other Pirates player has achieved in the Premier Soccer League era.
‘“I am happy to have signed a new contract,” said Jele. “As a player I believe I still have a lot more to give and achieve with this Club.”’ He confirmed.
Since joining the club in 2006 as a 19-year-old, Jele has accumulated 354 appearances for The Buccaneers. Jele has won 8 titles in the 15 years with Pirates.
