SuperSport United Complete the Signing of Phathutshedzo Nange! The midfielder has joined Matsatsantsa as a free agent.

Phathutshedzo Nange has signed for SuperSport United on a two-year contract. He will play under Gavin Hunt once more.

The midfielder was recently released by Kaizer Chiefs. This allowed Matsatsantsa the opportunity to snap him up for free.

He spent one season at Bidvest Wits under Gavin Hunt, before the club sold its PSL status to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila. He spent one season at Stellenbosch FC after this.

The midfielder signed a pre-contract with Kaizer Chiefs in that campaign, when Hunt was still head coach at Amakhosi. The duo failed to reconnect then, as Hunt was fired before that season ended.

They have finally reunited.

“SuperSport United are pleased to confirm the arrival of Phathutshedzo Nange from Kaizer Chiefs on a two-year-contract,” the club announced.

“Nange reunites with Matsatsantsa head coach Gavin Hunt after spending a season together at the former PSL outfit Bidvest Wits before joining Chiefs.

“The 31-year-old experienced midfielder cut his professional teeth at Black Leopards in 2014 and parted with them to join Bidvest Wits in 2019.  He later moved on to Stellenbosch FC for one season where he made 24 appearances and netted five goals.” The club announced.
