Hugo Broos Happy to Have Paseka Mako in Bafana Bafana Squad! The Buccaneers’ left back was called up to the national team.
Orlando Pirates defender Paseka Mako has joined up with the latest national team camp. Head coach Hugo Broos has praised his qualities.
Mako has been a regular left back for The Buccaneers over the past few years now. He gives club captain Innocent Maela a run for his money in the team.
His qualities have earned him a spot in Bafana Bafana, according to Broos.
“First of all, he’s better than last season.
“He plays good for the moment for Orlando Pirates. He’s quick, he’s very aggressive and that’s what I like because he’s a defender and he’s very offensive also.
“So, this is always a quality, if you have those qualities in your team, it’s also very important,
“Defensively, he’s not bad. The only thing that you can tell is that he’s not a tall player and that can maybe sometimes be a problem if you play against teams with tall players.
“Certainly, as a defender, that may be the only negative thing about but it’s okay. I think with the injury now of Maela he deserves to be with us.” Broos spoke.
The left back will be hoping to earn some minutes against Eswatini or Ivory Coast in the next two international friendlies for the national team. Hugo Broos Happy to Have Paseka Mako in Bafana Bafana Squad!
