Hugo Broos Names Final Bafana Bafana Squad for Tanzania and Mozambique Friendlies

Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has officially named his final 23-man squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Tanzania and Mozambique, cutting down his original 41-man preliminary list.

The South African national team will face Tanzania at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on June 6, before hosting Mozambique on June 10 at Loftus Versfeld Stadium. The squad is expected to report for camp this coming Sunday to begin preparations.

Broos has taken a bold step by blending youth with experience in the latest selection. Nine Orlando Pirates players have been included, including promising youngsters Mbekezeli Mbokazi, Mohau Nkota, and Simphiwe Selepe. The selection shows Broos’ continued commitment to building for the future while maintaining competitiveness.
