Unlike on Tuesday when they arrived and then unceremoniously left the Chatsworth Stadium, they did not even bother to show face today. This confirms their disinterest in the playoffs.

Just like on Tuesday against Chippa United; Richards Bay and referee Victor Hlongwane fulfilled their duties by completing the pre-match regularities.

The referee blew his whistle to start and then conclude the game, in poor fashion for the PSL.

On Wednesday Royal AM CEO Sinky Mnisi confirmed that they would not appear at the Chatsworth Stadium today.

“It is simple.” He told TIMESLive.

“We are not going to be participants in the playoffs simply because we are top of the GladAfrica Championship. I can confirm that we will not play the so-called playoff match against Richards Bay tomorrow (Thursday).

“We won the championship fair and square on the field of play.”

On Tuesday they went to the Chatsworth Stadium and left soon after. Today they did not even bother to appear.

“Our legal advisers told us to be there [at the stadium] as the team and wait for the legal judgment from judge Nyathi AJ‚ and that judgment actually confirmed that we are top of the log as Royal AM‚” he said.

“We waited for the legal team to advise us and the legal team indicated to us that we don’t have to play the match because we are top of the log. We just went there and waited for the judgment which confirmed that we are still top of the log.

“So there was no reason for us to play.” Mnisi added. Royal AM Abandon Their Promotion Playoff Fixture Against Richards Bay!
