“I never thought I would make it to a team as big as Kaizer Chiefs”, says Willard Katsande

Kaizer Chiefs and Zimbabwean international Willard Katsande is living a dream as he never thought he would one day turn out for a club as big as the glamour boys. “I never thought I would make it to a team as big as Kaizer Chiefs”, said Katsande. Katsande made the remarks during an interview with Kaizer Chiefs TV.

Katsande reflects on having started playing football at the age of six in 1992. The gritty defensive midfielder says his father’s love for the game had a rub on effect which saw him pursuing a career in football.

The Kaizer Chiefs midfielder was recently voted the January ABSA premiership player of the month and has been among the most consistent players for Amakhosi since joining the glamour boys from Ajax Cape Town.
