If you don’t beat Cameroon you’re fired
The coaching profession always comes with huge responsiblity as all eyes are on the coach when a team fails to perform. One such man who is under pressure to deliver is South African head coach Shakes Mashaba.
Faced with a difficult task of guiding Bafana Bafana against Cameroon at the end of this month, Mashaba is in a tight corner no other coach would want to be in.
Having picked up just a single point from two matches, Mashaba will have to ensure Bafana Bafana overcome the Indomitabale lions or face the axe as failure to collect at least four points from Cameroon would spell disaster for South Africa’s 2017 Afcon qualifying campaign.
South Africa play Cameroon in back to back fixtures. The first of the back to back encounters is away at the end of this month.
