Joel Masutha Disappointed By Early Goal Concessions! Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila succumbed to a 3rd successive defeat against Kaizer Chiefs.
They were comfortably beaten 3-0 by Amakhosi. TTM head coach Joel Masutha cited Chiefs’ experience as being key to the result.
Masutha also cited conceding early goals as a problem. After the defeat to Golden Arrows over the weekend he said that they needed to stop that trend.
This is after Orlando Pirates and Golden Arrows scored in the 18th minute in their respective matches. Nkosingiphile Ngcobo scored in the 19th minute, continuing the trend against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
“I think again just like the last match against Arrows we conceded in the 19th minute,” Masutha told SuperSport TV.
“Even today it was the 19th minute. And you try and check if the opponent tried to unpack you. But it didn’t happen like that. We let the ball bounce in the box, wrong position and they got a goal.
“And from there we tried to regroup. I think after the goal we started to play a bit better. And then second half we thought we going to continue but the quality of Chiefs players and the experience as well as Nurkovic up front was too much for our players.
“And they continued scoring and we had to try and stop them from scoring many goals because we didn’t want a cricket score.”
