SA Diski Legend Modise Inspires In Instagram Video

SA Diski Legend Modise Inspires In Instagram Video! Retired former midfield general Teko Modise delivered a great motivational and inspirational video on the travails and tragedies of life and the need to keep moving forward towards one’s goals.

In essence, the message that came through from the former king of shibobo who is now brand ambassador for SportsPesa the sponsors of former team Cape Town City, is that, no matter what life throws at you, face it head on and keep moving or life will pass by.

Life is not as easy as 123…Modise narrates in the video but comes with challenges that knock one down but despite the overwhelming odds and insurmountable challenges, one needs to keep their focus to get to where they want to be.

Teko in the Instagram video calls on the youth not to accept the calamities of life to break their spirit. They should not find comfort in mourning and self-pity but should be willing to continue even during times of great difficulties.

In one interview leading up to Teko’s retirement, former teammate and coach at Cape Town City Benni McCarthy sang Teko Modise praises.

“I think we have to applaud “Dona” for inspiring a lot of young players on how to live your life, how to be a gentleman and a good ambassador for the sport and great role model for the kids.” echoed McCarthy on the life of Modise on and off the pitch.

“Discipline, sacrifice, players of today have got mountains to climb to possess those kinds of qualities that I just mentioned.” came the call from Teko on today’s players.

This is indeed a wake up call to many youths who think talent alone will take them to the top but there is need for discipline, dedication, hard work and desire to keep moving in the face of obstacles placed in one’s path.

The extent of Modise’s new role off the pitch is noted from the social media replies from his followers and admirers who highly appreciate his message with some giving personal reference to how he has personally touched their own lives through the video.
