The Buccaneers claimed a second successive win for the first time this season. Thabang Monare opened the scoring in the 6th minute, from a Monnapule Saleng cross.

Captain Innocent Maela made it 2:0. Kermit Erasmus scored his first league goal of the season to make it 3 and Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo scored from distance to claim his first goal for his new side too.

Mervin Boji scored a consolation goal for the visitors toward the end of the game.

“So happy, I think we performed very well, in terms of controlling the game,” Riveiro told SuperSport TV.

“We had a portion of luck to open the figures (scores) with one set-piece. Finally, I think the last time we scored a set piece was against Stellenbosch in the first part of the league. In this type of game, it wasn’t easy.

“It looks easy when you see the result, but I think the game was a bit slow in the beginning. A bit difficult to play in this temperature. After the goal everything becomes much easier, obviously, the confidence.

“We got a good advantage at halftime, I’m really proud of the way we came back in the second half, controlling the game, looking for goals, showing good mentality in terms of like I said, ambition to try to still offer a good game in the second half.

“We’re getting better, this is a long process. Our intention is to obviously win every time we have the opportunity to compete and at the same time show every week that we are improving. Show week after week that we are a better team.

“And today finally, it’s been a long time that we haven’t controlled a game that good here in Orlando in our home. And its going to be really helpful for the future for us in terms of our confidence. So, happy.”
