Orlando Pirates visit Mamelodi Sundowns in their MTN 8 semi-final second leg this afternoon. Head coach José Riveiro is pinning his hopes on the men who will be leading the line.

Before beating Golden Arrows 2-0 in the middle of the week, the Buccaneers hadn’t won in four matches, and hadn’t scored in three matches. They are only finding their scoring touch recently.

Monnapule Saleng scored a brace in the win against the KZN outfit. The Spaniard didn’t disclose who will start the match, but he said that whoever plays can hopefully do the business for the team.

“Just following our normal week, with a few things in mind,” Riveiro told the press on Thursday.

“This time with three days between the games [Golden Arrows and Mamelodi Sundowns]. So, we’re trying to use the time as good as possible to be prepared for a tough game and a special journey next [week] Saturday [against Kaizer Chiefs].

“We’re not looking for perfect combinations, we’re looking to improve game after game. Ok, we can say that we improved in front of goal in our last game because we scored two times and we didn’t score in the recent games.

“We would like to continue with the same dynamic, obviously as much we score, the more confidence the boys will get in the future. Last time we played up front with [Monnapule] Saleng and [Kermit] Erasmus and let’s see who is there on Saturday and whoever is there can hopefully do the job,” he spoke.

Kick-off this afternoon is at 15h30. José Riveiro Hopes Strikers Can Score Against Mamelodi Sundowns!
