Kaizer Chiefs Backing Arthur Zwane Despite Slow Start to Season! Amakhosi have not enjoyed a terrific start to the new season.

Arthur Zwane was given the reigns of the team ahead of the new season. It has been a very tough start to life as a coach for the former club player.

Amakhosi have won twice in the league this season. These wins came against Maritzburg United and Richards Bay FC.

They have otherwise drawn twice and lost three times. This sequence of results has left Amakhosi sitting on 14^th place in the league table.

“Everyone can see that Zwane is trying his best with what he has at Chiefs and things might not look good at the moment, but there is a lot of belief from the management that he will get things right,” a club insider told Phakaaathi.

“They see him as someone who is going to bring back a smile to the supporters’ faces, because he has done really well with the reserve team, plus he understands the culture of the club so well. He (Zwane) knows that he is under pressure to deliver, he knows that everyone is watching him.

“He just needs to remain calm and do his job because like I said, the bosses are backing him up.”

Kaizer Chiefs face a stern test in the form of SuperSport United in the DSTV Premiership on Saturday night. A loss could leave Amakhosi in the relegation zone after the weekend’s matches.
