Kaitano Tembo Happy with The Point Away from Home! Matsatsantsa drew to Usuthu in their league encounter last night.

SuperSport United drew 0-0 away to AmaZulu in the DSTV Premiership last night. Head coach Kaitano Tembo is happy to take the point and head back to Pretoria.

Matsatsantsa have now collected 5 points from their first 3 league matches this season. They have also conceded just once, scoring three times.

SuperSport now sit second on the table. They are two points behind cross town rivals Mamelodi Sundowns.

“I am very proud of the guys coming here and getting a point, it is always a very difficult place to come,” Tembo SuperSport TV after the game.

“We were very positive today, on the balance of play we created the better chances and were the better team.

“We deserved the three points, but I would take a point, just because of the team we played against. In the three [DStv Premiership] games we have played we have only conceded one goal, so credit to the defence, I thought we were very solid.” The Zimbabwean added.

Midfielder Jesse Donn won his second consecutive Man of The Match award. These are for his commanding performances in the middle of the park.

“For me, I am very proud to see someone like him coming all the way through the ranks. Patient, good work ethic, he is bossing the midfield at the moment because of his decision-making.

“He is not yet where I want him to be, but baby-steps, he is getting there. He has shown a lot of progress.” He said of the youngster.

They take on Swallows FC on the weekend.

“It is another tough game, you know how Swallows are, a good team playing good football. We just have to recover and be fresh for Sunday.”
