Kaitano Tembo Looking Forward To a Difficult Tshwane Derby! SuperSport United will be taking to the pitch for the first time in a fortnight.

Matsatsantsa visit champions elect Mamelodi Sundowns in the DSTV Premiership this afternoon. Head coach Kaitano Tembo is looking for a positive finish to the season and for entry into the top 5.

The last time SuperSport United met Mamelodi Sundowns it ended in a tough 0-0 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville. Both teams were the top 2 on the table at the time.

Today is a very different complexion. Should The Brazilians win the game, they will be crowned as the inaugural DSTV Premiership champions.

SuperSport United on the other hand are fighting for a top 5 finish.

“We are looking forward to the match which is a derby, and playing against a very good team that has done well so far,” Kaitano Tembo told the club media.

“The players are looking good and confident and it’s a game that needs no motivation to the team and it comes at the right time after our moral boosting result against TTM FC.

“The break has also given us an opportunity to get all our injured players ready and available for selection,” the coach added.

The last time they played was in their 1-0 win over Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila two weeks ago. Top scorer Bradley Grobler scored the sole goal of the match.

“We want to finish the season on a high and this game is very important to us and we are going to give our all in order for us to get a positive result,” Tembo.
