Kaitano Tembo Looking to Promote Youngsters into SuperSport United First Team! The Matsatsantsa head coach is one month into pre-season with his players.
Kaitano Tembo will be hoping to add some youth players into the SuperSport United first team this campaign. He has been working with them during pre-season.
Matsatsantsa had their players participating in the COSAFA Cup and in the recent Olympics for South Africa. As a result, they have not had their full complement of players.
Tembo has had to work with some of the DSTV Diski Challenge players as well. Something he has enjoyed thus far.
“We have also been having a good look at some of our DDC Reserve team players and the signs have been encouraging.” Tembo told the club media as they prepare for the new PSL season.
Kaitano Tembo touched on the fact that they have absentees in their squad.
“We are into week 4 in our pre-season, and it has been really good.” Tembo added
“The players have been working really hard though we don’t have the full complement of our squad because we have players competing at the Olympics and as well as the just ended COSAFA Cup.
“We will have the full squad by next week and we will use the next two weeks to fine tune the team before the beginning of the season.”
SuperSport United will begin their PSL season in the MTN 8 quarterfinals. They play Golden Arrows.
“We have also been playing friendly matches to build on our match fitness and give game time as well as work on our tactical approach for the coming season” he concluded.
