Kaizer Chiefs Confirm Rushwin Dortley’s Absence for TS Galaxy Clash

Kaizer Chiefs have officially confirmed that defender Rushwin Dortley will not be available for their upcoming fixture against TS Galaxy as he continues his recovery from surgery. The club provided an update on Dortley’s status, stating that he remains on the injury list and is focusing on rehabilitation.
“Defender, Rushwin Dortley remains on the injury list as he recovers from surgery, and the fitness of the rest of the squad will be assessed during the week’s preparation for the clash,” the club announced on its official website.
Dortley, 22, has been a key figure in Chiefs’ defensive setup this season, ranking as the second most-used player in the squad behind Inacio Miguel. The young defender has made 21 appearances and clocked an impressive 1867 minutes on the field, underlining his importance to head coach Nasreddine Nabi’s tactical plans.
However, Dortley’s last appearance for Amakhosi came in February during a narrow 1-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns. Since then, he has been sidelined due to surgery, leaving a significant gap in Chiefs’ defensive line.
As Chiefs gear up for their crucial clash against TS Galaxy, the club will closely assess the fitness of the remaining squad members throughout the week. Dortley’s absence presents a challenge, but the team will be looking to step up in his stead as they aim for a strong finish to the season.
