Kaizer Chiefs Confirm Third Signing as Ethan Chislett Joins from the UK

Kaizer Chiefs have continued their busy transfer window with the announcement of their third signing, confirming the arrival of South African-born, UK-based midfielder Ethan Chislett. The Soweto giants unveiled the 26-year-old on their official social media platforms, marking another key addition as the club rebuilds ahead of the new season.

Chislett, an attacking midfielder known for his creativity and goal-scoring ability, joins Chiefs after a solid stint in the English lower leagues. A product of the renowned Southampton Academy, he most recently played for Port Vale in League One, where he made 82 appearances, netting 16 goals and providing eight assists.

His move to Naturena comes just days after the club announced the signings of defender Nkanyiso Shinga and striker Flavio Silva, highlighting a clear statement of intent from the Amakhosi management as they seek to strengthen their squad depth.

Chislett will add competition in the attacking midfield role, where the likes of Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Mduduzi Shabalala, and Gaston Sirino are also vying for the number ten spot. Despite the stiff competition, Chiefs fans are excited to see what the versatile midfielder can bring to the squad.

His dual South African and British citizenship offers a bonus for Chiefs, as Chislett will not require a visa for the upcoming pre-season tour of the Netherlands. The squad is scheduled to depart on Thursday for the European camp, where they will play a series of friendly matches before returning to South Africa for the highly anticipated Toyota Cup clash against Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko on 19 July.

As Kaizer Chiefs continue to reshape their squad under new management, supporters can expect more announcements as the July-August transfer window progresses. For now, the arrival of Ethan Chislett adds a fresh attacking option with international experience to the Amakhosi setup.
