Kaizer Chiefs Dismiss False Reports Regarding Teenage Hadebe! The news emanated yesterday that Amakhosi were in hot water.
Reports came out that Kaizer Chiefs would face another transfer ban sanctioned by FIFA for their indiscretions. The club had allegedly owed a fair amount of money to the team which they bought Teenage Hadebe from.
The Zimbabwean defender joined Kaizer Chiefs from Chicken Inn in the 2017 transfer window. It is reported that there was a clause in the contract which stipulates that they would get a small fee should Amakhosi sell him to another team.
In 2019 Hadebe left Amakhosi to join Turkish outfit Yeni Malatyaspor. Chicken Inn were said to have complained to FIFA for not receiving any money from Kaizer Chiefs.
The Soweto Giants have since rebuked all of this, citing fake news.
“Kaizer Chiefs note the reports that are making rounds relating to the transfer of Teenage Hadebe.
“Some news reports say: ‘Initially, indications are that Hadebe joined the Turkey club as a free agent. However, it was unearthed that the Arthur Zwane coached side indeed sold him, albeit for an undisclosed fee.’
“The Club would like to categorically dismiss the reports as flawed and misleading.
“Kaizer Chiefs have fulfilled all the obligations in the transfer of Hadebe.” The club wrote in a statement.
FARPost had initially reported the news.
“FIFA has instructed Kaizer Chiefs to pay R233 600 [USD13000] to Zimbabwe’s Chicken Inn over the transfer of defender Teenage Hadebe to Yeni Malatyaspor of Turkey.” The publication reported.
