Kaizer Chiefs Face Busy Schedule After Strong Season Start

Kaizer Chiefs’ strong start to the new season has heightened interest in their upcoming fixtures, as the club prepares to compete on multiple fronts after the FIFA international break.
So far, Chiefs have played five league matches, winning four and drawing against Mamelodi Sundowns. They have recorded victories over Stellenbosch, Polokwane City, Richards Bay, and Golden Arrows, while maintaining a clean sheet in all games. This form has increased fan anticipation, with hopes that attendance at FNB Stadium will continue to rise.
Chiefs face Sekhukhune United on September 16, a contest against one of the three unbeaten sides in the league. This will be followed by their CAF Confederation Cup campaign, starting with an away trip to Luanda, Angola, to face Kabuscorp Club do Palanca on September 20. As a result, their league fixture against TS Galaxy scheduled for September 21 will be postponed.
Upon returning, Chiefs will travel to face Marumo Gallants on September 24 at Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium. They will then host Kabuscorp in the second leg of the Confederation Cup. Progress to the next round would see Chiefs face either Djabal Club d’Iconi from Comoros or a representative from DR Congo, with first- and second-leg matches scheduled between October 17-19 and October 24-25.
The league schedule will continue alongside continental commitments. Chiefs host AmaZulu at FNB Stadium on October 1 before the Carling KnockOut Cup round of 16 on October 4 or 5. If they advance in both competitions, a league match against Siwelele is scheduled for October 22, followed by potential Carling KnockOut quarterfinals on October 29. This could force the league match against Durban City on October 31 to be rescheduled.
November fixtures include a league game against Orbit College on November 4 and Carling KnockOut semifinals on November 8, before the FIFA calendar break. Should Chiefs progress to the group stage of the Confederation Cup, two more continental games are expected on November 21-23 and November 28-30, before the AFCON finals in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
Remaining fixtures before the AFCON break include league matches against Magesi on November 26 and Chippa United on December 3, followed by the Carling KnockOut final on December 6. Any postponed league games may be scheduled the following day.
Chiefs resume club football on January 20, 2026, completing a congested schedule that will test squad depth and resilience. Fans and analysts will be closely watching how the team balances domestic and continental commitments while maintaining their unbeaten record.
