Kaizer Chiefs Goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari Linked With Overseas Move

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari has been a name frequently mentioned in discussions about a possible overseas move since the beginning of the year. The 25-year-old shot-stopper joined Amakhosi from TS Galaxy at the start of the season, but his time at the club has not gone as planned.

Ntwari began the campaign as Chiefs’ first-choice goalkeeper but was dropped after conceding 11 goals in his first seven matches. Since then, Bruce Bvuma has established himself as the preferred option, with Brandon Petersen also getting a brief run in the team. As a result, Ntwari has not featured for the club since November 2, 2024.

Despite his lack of club minutes, the Rwandan international has continued to gain experience at the international level. He has made three appearances for Rwanda since his last outing for Chiefs, including their recent 2-0 defeat to Nigeria, where he was beaten twice by Victor Osimhen in a World Cup qualifier.

Speculation about Ntwari’s next move has intensified, with reports suggesting interest from clubs in Kazakhstan and the Saudi Arabian second division. Additionally, a European second-division club had previously explored signing him, though talks did not progress.

An intermediary based in Europe confirmed that Ntwari’s name has been presented to their agency, and his profile is now being considered for the next transfer window.

“He is not our player, but his name has been presented to us by some people, and his physique meets what is required of a goalkeeper,” the agent revealed.

“There have been opportunities considered which will be revisited again in the next window, depending on what is said to us by those who brought his name to us. We have noticed that he has not been playing at his club, but the transfer fee mentioned is reasonable,” the agent added.

With Ntwari currently out of favour at Chiefs, the possibility of a move abroad could provide him with a fresh start and an opportunity to reignite his career. Whether an offer materializes in the upcoming transfer window remains to be seen.
