Kaizer Chiefs defender Tsepo Masilela says he will not focus on the saga between him and Bafana Bafana. Kaizer Chiefs left back did not report for national team call up last month, due to a knee injury, and also rejected calls to be checked by the Bafana doctors.
SAFA have said that the player will appear before a PSL DRC but so far no decision has been made against the Kaizer Chiefs left-back and Masilela says he is only focused on the next game.
“I’m okay at the moment and ready if the coach wants me to play [against Mpumalanga Black Aces],” Masilela told Kick Off.
“The team is handling the Bafana situation and my focus is on Aces; I’m not disturbed by any talks.”
However, Masilela agrees it’s not going to be easy to retain his left-back position.
“Keegan Ritchie came in and did well in the last game [3-0 win against Platinum Stars] … the competition is tough.”
