Kaizer Chiefs rise into top 3

Kaizer Chiefs are now in the top 3 of the ABSA premiership standings after a crucial 1 nil win over Bidvest Wits on Tuesday evening.

Amakhosi have had an indifferent season but recent weeks have seen the glamour boys make steady progress.

Chiefs head coach Steve Khompela will be delighted with the strides made by Amakhosi who are now third on 35 points, seven less than log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Kaizer’s win came courtesy of George Maluleka who was on target in the 59th minute.
