Kaizer Chiefs Through To The TKO Quarter-Finals
Kaizer Chiefs went into half-time with a 1-0 lead via Erick Mathoho’s header, however they had to wait until second-stanza stoppage time to get their other 2 goals, with Siphelele Mthembu and George Maluleka making sure of the win. Chiefs are now through to the draw for the Telkom Knockout quarter-finals, and Tshabalala admits he was delighted with the way his teammates handled themselves against Platinum Stars on Sunday.
“It’s about hard work and the help that I get from my colleagues, it hasn’t been easy, we didn’t have one of those great starts, but it’s a work progress, but we’ll keep going,” Tshabalala said after the match.
“I’m happy that we came here under the circumstances and did the job.”
He continued: “I’m always the target man, it’s good challenge, I embrace it, it also helps me grow as an individual, so I welcome the challenge and keep working hard.”
