Kaizer Chiefs will host Chippa United in the DSTV Premiership at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday night. While in Durban they will also participate in efforts to clean up their beaches.
Amakhosi have used the stadium as their second home in recent years. They have also strived and promised to use Durban as their second home for this season and more.
So, because they are so well accommodated, they aim to help the city in whatever way that they can. Cleaning up their beaches is one of the ways they aim to do this.
“In the lead-up to hosting the DStv Premiership encounter against Chippa United in Durban this weekend, Kaizer Chiefs’ commitment to community initiatives, as well as environmental responsibility, will be in evidence on Friday, 14 October, when the Club participates in conjunction with the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality to clean up the beach in Durban.
“eThekwini Deputy Mayor and chairperson of the Human Settlements and Infrastructure Committee, Councillor Philani Mavundla leads the campaign.” A statement read.
Jessica Motaung was also very happy to announce this campaign.
“Even though we are a football club, we recognise that we still live in the same world as everybody, so we welcome opportunities such as this to perform our civic duty to maintain and improve the environment for the benefit of all,” she spoke.
Amakhosi will be playing in Kwa-Zulu Natal over the next two weekends. Kaizer Chiefs Will Help Clean-Up Beaches in Durban This Weekend!
