Khune Makes History At Rio Olympics
Itumeleng Khune makes history at Rio Olympics in Brazil. Khune made some brilliant saves,against the Olympics hosts Brazil. Itumeleng is one of the over-aged players that were selected to play for the South African team U-23. The match for South Africa and Brazil ended 0-0.
South Africa made a tremendous effort and could even have won the game with better finishing. Khune and Mathoho were both excellent. Khune made a double save,proving his value to the nation. Khune said after the match that,the game against Brazil meant a lot to him thats why he gave his 100 percent.
“It was a great team effort. Credit must go to all the players and the supporting staff. We did it for our country,” said Khune.
“No one gave us a chance, we came here as an underdog to play against the host team but we managed to play as a team. So now we have our point.
“I am so happy to make my appearance, make my mark. Definitely my grandchildren will watch the DVD of this match.”
