Khune Requests Face Mask In Upcoming Match Against Senegal! The Chiefs goalkeeper was predicted to miss the World Cup Qualifier match against Senegal on Friday after he collided with Kurt Lentjies in a Telkom Knockout quarter-final clash over the weekend that left him with a fractured bone in the face.
Now it looks like Khune will be able to make the team and he has asked the medical team to prepare a face mask, coach Stuart Baxter revealed.
“Itu has seen a specialist. He is seeing one more. Khune has asked us to prepare a mask, which means he is hopeful. That could be enthusiasm and ambition, but the final decision will rest with the medical team,” Baxter said on Tuesday.
Khune took to Instagram hinting at his return writing, “When I see impossible, God says, “I’m possible.”
