Lebohang Mokoena To Join Kaizer Chiefs?
Mamelodi Sundowns midfilder, Lebohang ‘Cheeseboy’ Mokoena, has been hinted with a move to Kaizer Chiefs, with indications that the player wants a move to the Soweto giants. Mokoena was linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs in a January transfer window, however by the time the window closed the move did not happen.
According Soccer Laduma a source close to the player has indicated that Mokoena is hoping to reunite with coach Steve Komphela at the Amakhosi after they spent time working together when they were part of the national U23 set-up.
“Cheeseboy wants to move to Chiefs. He has made it clear that he wants more game-time and he believes that he can get that game-time at Chiefs,” the source revealed.
“He believes that with his experience he can contribute a lot to Chiefs and also local football. The club also believes that Cheeseboy, with his experience on the right wing, could add value.
“Since Mandla Masango and Josta Dladla left, they have been using Siphiwe Tshabalala in that position. They need Cheeseboy and the player also wants to move there. He believes Coach Steve Komphela can still bring out the best in him.”
