Golden Arrows drew 0-0 at Orlando Pirates in the DSTV Premiership last night. Head coach Lehlohonolo Seema concedes that it was a very difficult game for them.
The visitors faced continuous pressure throughout the entire 90 minutes. They were under consistent siege as the hosts threatened to score.
Pirates peppered in shots on multiple occasions as the Arrows goalkeeper remained defiant in the match.
“It tells you a lot if your goalkeeper is man-of-the-match,” the Lesotho born coach told SuperSport TV.
“It shows you that we were under siege. However, I think we fought.
“We gave Pirates a good scare so there were moments where we could have snatched it, there were moments where they could have snatched it and the character that these guys are showing that is what is encouraging us for the weekend’s game.
“Because the fight that they showed one of the teams sometimes we’ll get more than two or three.
“Today it was a bit different. We did not create as much as we have created in other games.
“However, the fight and the structure and the discipline to keep Pirates at bay was there. What was good for us although we were not creating the clear-cut chances.
“You could see in the first half the overload they did on our left-hand side, at half-time we had to rectify that. We managed to come out and I’m happy with a point at Orlando especially second round after the fight the guys have shown today.” He spoke.
