Linda Mntambo’s wife gave birth to their baby daughter last weekend. His family now stands at five, with his wife and three children.
The Sekhukhune United captain took to social media to announce the news. He had thrown a baby shower for his very pregnant wife a month ago, declaring that they are having a daughter.
“Baba ngiyabonga [thank you]” he posted on his Instagram account.
“May you continue to bless us with Health, Happiness and laughter. We are deeply grateful for Baby KHANYA. Monday 13h30, 20 March 2023.
“Thank you @julius.malema.sello for Shutdown. If it wasn’t for you, I would be at work and would have missed this moment.” He added.
Return From Injury
Mntambo had been missing from action in recent months. Head coach Brandon Truter revealed that he was recovering from an injury.
“Linda still has a long-term injury; we very much doubt that he will be available for the rest of the season” Truter spoke.
“Yes, he is working hard with his fitness and everything but rushing him back like we rushed him back against Gallants and he broke down again.
“For his career I think it will be to his benefit to take his time and really make sure that he is fully healed before he returns.”
