Loftus Blackout Calls Sundowns And Chippa Off

Mamelodi Sundowns and Chippa United game was called off after a blackout occurred in the 42nd minute at Loftus Versfeld. This is rather unusual to occur at Loftus as it is a venue that continues to host Sundowns games at night.

Mamelodi Sundowns were the dominating side and tested the Chippa goalkeeper as soon as the game began. Wayne Sandilands on the Sundowns post was perhaps having a holiday as he was less tested by Chippa strikers.

The game is set to continue this morning at 10am at the same venue and according to rule 14 of FIFA, the match will resume from the 42nd minute and will see the score sheet being 0-0 as it has been from last night. It is however, unconfirmed if those with tickets from last night will be let in or if anyone is welcome to come to the game.
