Lucas Ribeiro Costa Wins Betway Premiership Player of the Month Award Again

Mamelodi Sundowns star Lucas Ribeiro Costa has once again been recognized for his outstanding performances, claiming the Betway Premiership Player of the Month award for February.

This marks the second time this season that the Brazilian forward has received the honor, having previously won it for his impressive displays in September and October. His remarkable form has been crucial in Sundowns’ dominant campaign, where they have surged 18 points clear at the top of the standings.

Ribeiro was directly involved in eight goals in February, scoring five and assisting three, further strengthening his case for the coveted Footballer of the Season award. Adding to his accolades, he also secured the Goal of the Month award for his stunning solo effort against Orlando Pirates.

The 24-year-old continued his red-hot form into March, scoring a spectacular goal against Kaizer Chiefs over the past weekend, further underlining his attacking prowess.

Meanwhile, Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso has also been honored, winning the Coach of the Month award for the second consecutive time after guiding the Tshwane giants to six victories in seven matches. His tactical expertise has put the club in a commanding position to secure an eighth consecutive league title.
