Burnley FC have announced that striker Lyle Foster has signed a new long-term deal with the club. His contract has been extended to 2028.
Foster joined the side in January this year from Belgian side Westerlo. He has been their main striker as they returned to the Premier League this season.
“Burnley Football Club are delighted to announce that striker Lyle Foster has signed a new five-year deal at Turf Moor,” the club confirmed on their website.
“The South African striker has adjusted to life in the Premier League impressively, scoring three goals and grabbing two assists in seven games.
“Foster joined the Clarets in January this year from Belgian side Westerlo and made his debut for the Club against Ipswich Town in the Emirates FA Cup. A first goal in Claret & Blue then came in a 3-0 win against Wigan Athletic.
“The 23-year-old scored his first goal of the 2023/24 seasons against Aston Villa and following that Foster contributed with either a goal or an assist in four consecutive games.”
