Mamelodi Sundowns host Stellenbosch FC in the DSTV Premiership this evening. Left back Lyle Lakay wants to move on from the disappointments of dropping points over the weekend.
Masandawana drew away to Babina Noko on Saturday afternoon. This was the second occasion in which they have dropped points this season.
However, Lylo is keen on moving on from that draw.
“We are professionals,” Lakay told the club website.
“We were disappointed with our previous results against Sekhukhune United and we have this 24-hour rule whereby if you win you get to celebrate for 24 hours. If you lose you can be disappointed for 24 hours but after that it’s back to work and focusing on the next game.
“I would say we are over the previous game and us being professionals we must focus on the next assignment which is Stellenbosch. And I think the guys are ready.
“People would say obviously we drew our game before this, we had a win and a loss before. We are a team that performs best under pressure.
“Not that we always have to put ourselves in this situation, but we thrive under pressure, we are motivated, and we are going out there for the three points.” He stated
