Maritzburg United will play host to Marumo Gallants in the DSTV Premiership this evening. Assistant coach Maahier Davids is expecting a chaotic game later today.

The Team of Choice is aiming to build on their first league win of the campaign. Last time out they defeated fellow Limpopo side Baroka FC 1-0 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium (new).

This win put an end to their 2-game losing streak. Now, they are looking to build momentum.

“We’ve done a lot of hard work in the background for the past two months, so getting that first win felt extremely rewarding,” assistant coach Maahier Davids said to the club media.

“It was important to build the confidence and to build some momentum going forward as well. Hopefully we can use it as a steppingstone for the next games to come.” He added.

Their visitors Marumo Gallants have endured a torrid start to the new season. They lost and drew in their opening two matches.

As a result, they sit at the bottom of the league table at this stage.

“I’ve seen their games and analysed them,” he said. “They’ve got really good individuals and can mix it up.

“We have to be prepared for a game, let’s say a bit of chaos,

“I think they thrive in that environment, but we have to stick to our game plan, stay calm and structured. If we play the same way we did in Polokwane, I’m sure we can get a positive result.” He added.

The Team of Choice currently lies on 13th place. Maahier Davids Expecting Tough Battle Against Marumo Gallants!
