Marumo Gallants winger Mahlatse Makudubela makes sure that people know he is with the ZCC. Check out some of the times he has been seen wearing the badge.
The ZCC is the largest church group in Southern Africa, with their membership in the tens of millions. It is no surprise that a PSL star could be affiliated with the church.
Skudu’s membership with the ZCC maybe describes his personality off the pitch, as they are of strict faith. It can be seen by how he lives his life away from the game as he can always be seen spending time with is lovely wife and child.
European Dreams.
In 2019 Makudubela signed with FC Gagria, as second division side in Georgia. However, the Covid-19 pandemic ended those dreams earlier, sending him back to the PSL.
“I’ve been in Europe for over five months now but due to the Coronavirus outbreak, everything had to stop just one game into the season.” Makudubela told Soccer Laduma, in 2020.
“I’m supposed to be this side (Georgia) for 6-12 months obviously to see how things go. Right now, I am in a position to say that as of June, I will be available to sign with a team of my choice and I will be back to dish out what people have been enjoying in previous seasons.
“I’ve been getting a lot of calls and messages from people asking where I am currently playing. That makes me itch to get back onto the field and do what I love on home soil.
“I just hope that something good comes up, I’ve been talking to some people, including my family and the best possible option, for now, is to come back home, regroup and take it from there.
“I’m still in Europe awaiting a repatriation flight but I will be back in South Africa soon.” He spoke.
