Mamelodi Sundowns have always introduced some of the finest local players to their team. This includes the likes of Percy Tau, Motjeka Madisha, Cassius Mailula and many more.
“Generally, we have players that are very talented and skilled,” youth coach David Notoane spoke.
“As coaches in the academy and the senior team, we are always looking for players that show tremendous performance at the junior level. We have been waiting for this opportunity and it’s now up to the junior players to grab the chance and run with it.” He added.
The club played a few young players at the Carling Black Label Cup in November. We are sure to see some of these players grace the PSL sooner rather than later.
“Fortunately for the Youth Academy players, they have good people around them. The youngsters need full support from us as senior players and assist them in learning how the way things are done and it’s good that they are starting at an early age.” Veteran goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene also spoke.
