Mamelodi Sundowns underline title credentials
Mamelodi Sundowns showed just why they are firm contenders to lift the ABSA premiership crown after scrapping off a 3-2 win over Maritzburg United on Saturday evening.
Masandawana took the lead when Hlompho Alpheus Kekana opened the scoring in the 36th minute. Khama Billiat doubled the Brazilians lead in the 49th minute before Hlompho Alpheus Kekana scored his second goal of the evening in the 64th minute.
Evans Rusike pulled a goal back for the hosts in the 83rd minute before Brian Onyango set up a tight finish with a a 90th minute strike.
Sundowns however held on for a 3-2 win which steered them 3 points clear at the summit of the premiership standings.
