Manchester United Target African Superstar Striker in Upcoming Transfer Window

An African superstar attacker is reportedly among the top striking targets for Manchester United as they prepare to strengthen their squad when the transfer window reopens.
It appears that Ruben Amorim has become frustrated with the Red Devils’ current striking options. Over the past two transfer windows, the club has invested a combined €116.4 million (R2.3 billion) in Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, but neither has made the desired impact in the Premier League.
Between them, the duo has scored only 14 goals across all competitions this season. Bruno Fernandes leads United’s scoring charts with 16 goals, highlighting the need for a more prolific forward. While Amorim was unable to bolster his attacking department during the midseason, reports indicate that he is prioritizing a new striker for the end of the 2024/25 season.
According to Sky Germany, Amorim has identified four potential striker targets: Nigerian star Victor Osimhen, Hugo Ekitike of Eintracht Frankfurt, Swedish sensation Viktor Gyokeres, and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko.
Speculation surrounding Osimhen has intensified as his loan at Galatasaray nears its conclusion. The Lagos-born striker remains a Napoli player, and with the Italian club reportedly interested in Hojlund, a swap deal could be a possibility.
Since moving to Turkey at the start of the season, the 25-year-old Super Eagles forward has been in exceptional form for Galatasaray, scoring 26 goals and providing five assists in 30 matches. His prolific record has put him on the radar of several top European clubs, with Manchester United among the strongest contenders for his signature.
