Manqoba Mngqithi Bemoans Bad Refereeing Against Baroka FC! The Brazilians drew 1-1 away to Bakgakga Ba Mphahlele yesterday.

Mamelodi Sundowns had to settle for a share of the spoils against Baroka FC in the DSTV Premiership last night. Co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi was left in absolute criticism of the refereeing.

Masandawana conceded a last gasp equaliser thanks to a stunning effort from Richard Mbulu. The league leaders were up against it throughout the game, as the visitors consistently threatened to score in the game.

Baroka missed a first half penalty as defender Mashweu Mphahlele blazed the spot kick over the goal.

Lyle Lakay gave the visitors the lead after a well struck free kick went past Elvis Chipezeze. Richard Mbulu equalised in added time.

“Ja it’s football, sometimes you see things that you thought you will never see,” coach Manqoba told SuperSport TV after the draw.

“Rushine and the opposition player go for a header, Rushine gets a yellow card, he goes out.

“They are not treated. Rushine has to stay out, the opposition must be inside.

“That was the first incident.

“The next incident AJ is fouled with an elbow. The referee instead of giving us a free kick because that’s a foul and the ball is the opposition’s ball, it’s appalling but, nonetheless.

“They piled a lot of pressure on us in the second-half. We did not create too many chances on this game.

“We were reliant on set-pieces. We could see that the game was going to demand a lot because the field is very narrow.

“They made sure that they play in this field and make sure they pile a lot of pressure on us. We could not create clear chances but that’s not an excuse.

“I think we deserved to win the match after all, unfortunately we conceded a last-minute free-kick that I don’t even know whether it was a free-kick or not,” he lamented.
