“It does not come any tougher than this when you lose boys who grew up in front of your eyes, it is always different. Motjeka was that boy, a young man who everybody was earmarked for the future of the club. Everybody at the club knew that our plan was to have Madisha the captain of the club, we did give him the armband here and there when the senior players were not there just to make him aware of what he gives.

“Losing him was one of the toughest things for me in my coaching career, I loved that boy, I appreciated every little thing he did for the team. The whole technical team was hurt, the players were hurt, the management was hurt and also the support staff was hurt as he was a good boy”

George Maluleka

“I can say so much about Madisha, I have known him since I was at Chiefs, I knew him personally as we would meet in Tembisa and I took him as a homeboy. I remember the first time we interacted and from that day we never looked back. I always said to myself, he is so humble and respectful and that shows that he grew up being raised well and that he will go far in life.

“Even when I joined the team he was one of the guys that welcomed me with warm hands. The last time we interacted before the incident we were at training and we agreed that we will go grab a bite with the other guys and we spoke about the future of the club. He was very smart and knew what he wanted. May his soul Rest in Peace”

Kermit Erasmus

He was humble, always smiling, he would laugh and joke at training or in the game. He would laugh at you during the game whether you were the opposition or a teammate. He was a very fun person to be around with, with the short time I spent being around him and being his teammate was quite interesting. We created a bond as I would block players for him during corner kicks so that he can use his aerial prowess as he was good in that department.

“To the family we just want to give our support and let them know that they are not alone during this time, we feel the pain and hope things will get better in time. I know he is looking at us now at his house smiling and may his soul rest in peace. We just gained another guardian angel”

Mosa Lebusa

“We are here to pay our respects to the Madisha family as their son was one of us. We are as heartbroken as they are. I just want to wish them strength and light during this time.

“There are a lot of things I can remember about him but now the only thing that comes to mind is that he was very playful and irritating but as irritating and annoying as he was when it came to work he gave 100% and never took the game lightly. I want to say to the Madisha family may his soul rest in peace”
