Manyama And Pitso Win At PSL Monthly Awards
Cape Town City captain Lebogang Manyama and Mamelodi Sundowns boss Pitso Mosimane have been named PSL player and coach of the month for February. Manyama, who wins the award for a third time this season, has been key to City’s rise to the summit and Telkom Knockout triumph, providing 12 goals and five assists.
The last Coach of the Month award (December) was handed to Cape Town City’s head coach Eric Tinkler after his triumphant run in the Telkom Knockout competition and his side’s impressive form in the Absa Premiership. Mosimane has been awarded the outstanding mentor of the month for guiding his side to an impressive unbeaten run in the month of February, which includes the 6-0 thumping of Orlando Pirates and 2-0 win over Bidvest Wits.
Lebohang Manyama won the last player of the month and this is his second player of the month award consecutively. Manyama has just earned himself a cap in the Bafana Bafana squad for an impressive run in the game against Angola and he certainly looks like he wants to cement his place in the Bafana Bafana call up. This is the last stretch of the PSL and both Pitso Mosimane and Lebohang Manyama are looking at winning the PSL title for their teams respectively.
