The former Orlando Pirates mentor was sacked by Maritzburg United this morning. The news was of very little surprise to football fans.

Before the match, both Black Leopards and Maritzburg United had lost all their games. They were both sitting perilously at the bottom with 0 points to their name.
However, Black Leopards were able to get off the mark in the league. Lidoda Duvha won 1-0 thanks to Rodney Ramagalela’s strike in the second half.
The Team of Choice are now the only team not to register any points in the DSTV Premiership this season.
“It has been an extremely disappointing start to the season and the results have not been forthcoming,” Maritzburg Chairman Farook Kadodia said on the club website.
“The Board therefore took the decision to terminate the contract of the coach. We would like to wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
Maritzburg also parted ways with former assistant coach Vincent Kobola recently. They will now need a completely new technical team.
They take on SuperSport United on Friday night. SuperSport themselves are hurting from a 2-1 loss to Orlando Pirates on Saturday evening.
