Masango headed back to Denmark.
Mandla Masango is heading back to Denmark after Randers refused to let him join Stuart Baxter’s COSAFA Cup squad in Rustenburg.
The 27-year-old featured for SuperSport United over the weekend in the 4-1 Nedbank Cup final victory over Orlando Pirates, lifting the trophy having played in four of the five games that it took to get their hands on the trophy.
Randers are currently playing friendlies as they prepare for the start of the new season and it would appear that they are expecting the former Kaizer Chiefs man back with them on July 1st once his loan to SuperSport has officially come to an end.
SAFA explained this week that he will ‘revert back to his Danish club’ following their decision not to let him be a part of the COSAFA Cup, however, it remains to be seen if they see him playing for their club again after a very public spat last year.
Randers may be open to selling Masango if an offer comes along, but he still has one year left on his contract. Thus the player still has to follow the club’s instructions at this stage.
