Mduduzi Shabalala Is Focused on The Soweto Derby! Amakhosi lock horns with their age-old rivals tomorrow.

Kaizer Chiefs hosts Orlando Pirates in the DSTV Premiership tomorrow afternoon. Teenager Mduduzi Shabalala is eager to claim victory in the match.

The youngster has been one of their shining lights in a very inconsistent season for Chiefs. He will be hoping to participate in the match and continue to show his impressive form.

At 19 years of age, he still has a lot of derbies to participate in.

“To be honest, I have been thinking about it since last week because I knew I have been doing well and the team has been doing well,” Shabalala told the media on Monday.

“For me, it’s a great opportunity, young as I am, to maintain the same focus and consistency and take it into the game.

““We must play the game, not the occasion. The most important thing is to enjoy it and focus on ourselves.

“We have been playing well. It’s just that we haven’t been getting the results that we want. We are focused on the big one that’s coming, and I think we can change everything.

“We just have to play our football.”

Amakhosi have a great record in the Soweto Derby over the past few seasons. They have beaten Orlando Pirates in four successive league matches.
