Mhlongo Will Be On The Bench For 6 Weeks Due To An Injury
We must say when it comes to Orlando Pirates and goalkeeper those two words do not gel. The club has just informed us that Brighton Mhlongo has torn a ligament on his knee. Mhlongo has torn his MCL and this means that he could be looking at around 4-6 weeks off the field as he goes through rehabilitation and recovery before he can return back on the field.
The 24-year-old was devastating when he learnt that he will off the field for over a month. The goalkeeper has managed to establish himself in the club and has proved not only to the club but the fans that he can do his job very well. However since Mhlongo will be side lined due to his injury, Felipe Ovono and Siyabonga Mpontshane will be battling it out for a spot in Eric Tinkler’s starting XI. Depends on Mhlongo injury he might be out for 2 months, the goalkeeper hopes that he returns back as soon as possible.
