Morgan Mammila Confident He Will Help Swallows FC Survive Relegation! The Dube Birds recently assigned him to a new role at the club.
Morgan Mammila was announced as the new technical advisor to Musa Nyatama at Swallows FC. He believes that his brief experience as a coach will help him help the club stave off relegation.
Mammila was the surprise head coach at Chippa United for a brief period this season. This came as a surprise because he only possesses a CAF-D License, which allows one to coach at u/12 level.
Despite this, he achieved club history by winning four consecutive matches at the Chilli Boys, before he was sacked last month. He believes the four match winning streak is what helped him get the job with the Dube Birds.
“I would never have come to Swallows if I was not going to help the team,” he told Sowetan Live.
“I think a little knowledge that I have can help the team survive. Swallows are a big team and deserve to stay in the Premiership.
“I think helping Chippa to win four matches in a row, that’s what brought me here to advise and help Musa [Nyatama] and that’s what I’m going to do. Musa Nyatama remains in charge of the team.
“So I will be advising him.” He added.
“The plan is to help the team come out of the relegation [zone] and think forward. For now, I don’t want to talk too much, but I will do that when the results are coming.
“I don’t want our opponents to know our strategy, but it is a work in progress. There is a lot of improvement and I’m happy with the team.
“But as I said, Musa is the one who is in charge. He is the one who calls the shots.”
